The 2016 Tennessee Titans Mr. Football Awards announced at luncheon at Nissan
The 2016 Tennessee Titans Mr. Football Awards, which is the most-prized high school football award for an individual, were announced at Nissan Stadium in Nashville On Nov. 28, Monday.
The Tennessee Titans partnered with the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA) to host it, the honorees, their families, coaches, school administrators and members of the media of the state, more than 400 people attended.
The Tennessee Titans have been a sponsor of the Awards since 2007 but officially began in 2015 Nissan Stadium Ceremony. The Executive Director of the TSSAA Bernard Childress said they are excited and appreciative being involved with the Tennessee Titans for the 10th consecutive year, and thanked for what they helped 68 student-athletes, the sponsorship and numerous contributions to high schools in Tennessee.
The awards were presented to a total of 34 finalists and 16 winners. High school head coaches and media members nominated the finalists, while a committee of statewide sports writers selected the winners based on performance on and off the field during the 2016 regular season.
Childress replenished all of young men's outstanding honor for their athletic ability, outstanding character and academic achievements.
